Victor Peralta stepped in at short notice for our March Talking Art meeting. Victor and Sharon Peralta co-direct GalleryONE88 in Katoomba and are active in promoting arts in the mountains. Victor is also an experienced artist and spoke with us about his process of portrait painting. He brought several of his large portraits of local Katoomba Street identities. A Resident of Katoomba in the Blue Mountains Victor is predominantly a Portrait Artist, well known for his honest capture of his subject’s personality and mood. Victor prefers to work with Oils, Watercolour and Charcoal, all in large formats. ​With several solo exhibitions to date, Victor’s works are represented in many collections throughout Australia and Overseas. Victor is often asked to judge Art shows and guest speaker at many Art shows in the Blue Mountains region. Victor is also Curatorial and Exhibitions Director at Gallery ONE88 Fine Arts I Katoomba.
